Final Fantasy 14 Shows Off New Viper Class Alongside Final Fantasy 11 and 16 Crossovers

Final Fantasy 14, the popular multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Square Enix, has recently announced some exciting new content for its player base. During the recent Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival, the developers showcased a new class called Viper, as well as exciting crossovers with Final Fantasy 11 and the upcoming Final Fantasy 16.

The new Viper class in Final Fantasy 14 adds a unique and dynamic playstyle to the game. Players will be able to harness the power of these agile and venomous creatures, able to strike swiftly and inflict deadly poison on their enemies. Square Enix revealed several new announcements at the 2023 Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival in London as part of a deeper look at its upcoming expansion, Dawntrail. This includes a new Viper job in addition to a Final Fantasy XI crossover raid and a Final Fantasy XVI crossover called “The Path Infernal.” Additionally, an open beta test for the Xbox Series X|S version is planned from mid-January to February 2024.

The Viper class focuses on close-range combat with two one-handed weapons, but they can be combined to create a single two-handed weapon. Its purpose is to cause devastating damage quickly.

The crossover raid with Final Fantasy XI is called the Echoes of Vana’diel, named after the world in which the game takes place. The Final Fantasy XVI crossover is a series of quests that allows players to take on Ifrit and get their own Torgal mount. Main character Clive Rosfield will also join the players. More information about the expansion will be shared at the next Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival taking place in Tokyo in January.

The Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail expansion will launch sometime in Summer 2024 for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series The upcoming expansion will include a bunch of extra features, such as a Fall Guys collaboration, increasing the level cap from 90 to 100, multiple new courses, new dungeons, and new gear. This is also the first time in almost a decade that Xbox players will have access to the game.
