The Arab Republic of Egypt, in a Foreign Ministry statement on Saturday, October 27, warned of the serious risks and unprecedented humanitarian and security repercussions that will result from the large-scale ground attack on the Gaza Strip.

Egypt has held the Israeli government responsible for violating the United Nations General Assembly resolution issued Friday evening calling for an immediate ceasefire and the implementation of a humanitarian truce that protects the lives of civilians and allows humanitarian aid to enter the Gaza Strip immediately and without interruption. .

Egypt also expressed its deep concern over the potentially dangerous consequences of the military ground operation and the expected increase in the number of casualties and injuries among children, women and unarmed civilians, which is another blatant violation of the provisions of international law and international humanitarian law. provisions. law, amid a state of complete inability of the international community to put an end to these violations and stop the bloodshed in the Gaza Strip.

Egypt renewed its demand on the Israeli side to facilitate procedures for safe, full and sustainable humanitarian and emergency access to the Gaza Strip, warning that the failure to immediately implement demands for a humanitarian ceasefire and facilitating the access of aid to the Gaza Strip will lead to an inevitable humanitarian catastrophe and destabilize regional security in a way that threatens stability.
